Feature Friday: Beauty Expression by Luchessa

Hello lovelies, who is excited that it is Friday? We are! TGIF! I love love love Fridays because it means I finally get to relax and have some me time {not to talk of having some sleep}.

It has been such a long time since we had a Feature Friday post and I was really missing it. I love to share all the great bloggers I have found with my readers because well, they are all so amazing.

I have decided to change it up a bit from the way it was before. This time, there will be no more questions. After blogging for over 1 year I know quite a lot of fashion and beauty bloggers and there are so many I love, plus I keep finding new ones every week thanks to The Friendly Bunch Blog Hop so I thought from now on Feature Friday will be about me featuring the bloggers I love and telling you about them and their blog.

I want to start of the new Feature Friday by telling you about someone who is very dear to me and I am so so so so so glad that we are friends.

Look at the face below. Look familiar?

Yes, because it is Luchessa!!!!

About the Blog & Blogger
Beauty Expression by Luchessa is well obviously a blog about beauty as well as other occasional topics. You can find anything from nail art posts, reviews, travel posts, swaps, international giveaways and many more amazing posts. You will definitely love stopping by her blog. Here are a few of her posts {click on the images to view the full post}:

All of that looks very interesting, doesn't it? Best thing is that not only is her blog extremely interesting, but Luchessa is also an amazing blogger and the best friend you can ask for. She loves communicating with her readers and will always help when she can. We started chatting a while back and ever since then she has become my very good friend. She now hosts "The Friendly Bunch Blog Hop" with me and it is so much fun.

Yes, that is very much possible even though we never met {but we will} and she lives in Germany {which is technically not so far away}. In the blogging world, these things happen. You leave a comment or a tweet to another blogger and with time you become really close. Recently we even sent each other packages with lots of stuff in it. We will both be blogging about them once they arrive to let you know what was in it.

I am sure I have grabbed your attention now so what are you waiting for. Open her blog in a new tab and have a read. While you are at it, why not leave her a comment to say hi. And don't forget to follow so you have access to all her future posts.

Find her and say hi

Enjoy her blog and don't forget next week's feature.

Review: Neo-Medrol Acne Lotion

Neo Medrol Acne Lotion
Neo Medrol Acne Lotion for cystic acne, treating acne

Hello loves, I hope you are all doing well. I would like to invite you all to come join us in our blog hop to find lots of amazing blogs. The blog hop runs till midnight tomorrow {EEST} so if you add your link don't forget to check back and visit the links which will be added later on. Say hi to the other bloggers and let them know how you found them.

Now on to my review of the Neo Medrol Acne Lotion. As you may or may not know I have oily skin which is prone to Acne. Like everyone, I hate having breakouts and have been using this product to battle acne for years. This is my holy grail skincare product. I seriously cannot imagine having to live without it.

The packaging looks a little bit too medicine-like {if you know what I mean}. But then again, it pretty much is acne medicine for external use. It contains Methylprednisolone, Neomycin and other ingredients which sound too scientific for a lot of us to understand. From what I read, Neomycin helps kill the bacteria which may cause or increase acne while Methylprednisolone is an anti-inflammatory agent which helps reduce redness and swelling which is associated with acne.

Basically what this means is that this product helps to reduce the inflammation of acne and makes your skin smooth in areas where you had bad breakouts. All you need to do is apply it once or twice daily on clean makeup-free skin {I apply it once at night and sleep with it thereby leaving it on for about 8 hours}. You will notice a change from about the 2nd or 3rd day although it depends on the level of swelling. If you have just minor breakouts and apply it at night then you may see changes already the next morning. This product is not expensive but unfortunately is not sold everywhere and only by prescription. So if you have cystic acne and want to give this a go, please speak with your dermatologist.

Quick Summary
Likes: Helps clear acne and sometimes acne scars.
Dislikes: None.
Verdict: Always repurchasing. I cannot live without it.

What's your go to acne treatment?

Would you rather? {Beauty Edition}

It has been quite a while I did a tag post and therefore when I saw this on Anne's Blog, I thought it would be great to put in some more me into my blog. That way you get to know what I'd rather do/ pick when it comes to beauty.

Now without any more words as there are quite a few questions, enjoy the tag.

Would you rather? (Beauty Edition)

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
This is super easy. As my everyday makeup consists of mascara, eyeliner and lipstick I would definitely rather lose all my palettes and eyeshadows.

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Hmmmm. Never being able to cut it again means walking around with damaged hair and chopping off everything means I would have to walk around with short hair which I cannot imagine myself doing. Or I'll have to flat iron all the time and wear extensions which still means my hair will be quite damaged. So, I guess it will be not being able to cut it again. I will just take extra good care of it with hair products and homemade masks.

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Actually I look good in both; although it depends on the type of pink. But seeing as one of my favourite colours is coral, I'll go with coral.

If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Can I split it 80%-20%? No? Well, I would most likely spend it mostly on clothes and accessories, but buying a few beauty products which I cannot justify otherwise would also be quite cool.

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
I would definitely rather apply lipstick as eyeliner and then just smudge it out so it looks more like eyeshadow. Cannot imaging having to apply eyeliner as lipstick. {eeeh}

Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
This is the hardest considering we do not have MAC or Sephora and I cannot say which products I like better. But I have been dying to get the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer {I just cannot match what shade I need} and maybe some MAC lipsticks so I'd say MAC.

Would you rather only use one eyehadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
Ok so the ending of that questions is super scary {rest of your life is a long long time}, but anyway would definitely rather use one eyeshadow color. I like to change the colour of lipstick I am wearing depending on what my outfit looks like and cannot imagine myself having to pick 1 lip colour for the rest of my life.

Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Ok, now this is where this tag and I take entirely different roads. I would not do any of the following because I live in Latvia and we have very cold winters {sometimes -20C} and sometimes very hot summers {it can get up to +28C}. So imagine walking around in a down jacket in +28C or in shorts with bare legs in -20C. No can't do! So I would rather go to a warmer country like Nigeria and that way wear summer clothes in the winter.

Would you rather dark nails or bright nails all year round?
I am a huge fan of colour so I would definitely rather wear bright nails all year round.

Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye products?
Ok, no matter how much i love my lip products I will have to give them up in this case as I cannot imagine myself without my mascara.

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?
Wearing pony tails without straightening my hair is quite hard as it just always looks like a total mess due to the texture. Wearing messy buns on the other hand is quite easy. So definitely messy buns. {Oh look! Just like in the picture}

Would you rather never being able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
I am not a fan of gloss at all so I will give that up without even thinking.

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? or sharpie them in everyday?
This is super easy. If you watched my last video here on how I do my eyebrows, you will know how much I love them and cannot imagine myself shaving them off. I will definitely chose to sharpie them in everyday.

Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
I like to play around with both and sometimes experiment if I get the time to do that but I would rather live without nail polish. Yes, sometimes it may not be super pretty but I have this buffer that makes them shiny so that will do.

I hope you enjoyed the tag. I would love to see my readers/ blogger friends do this tag. If you do, please leave a link to your post in the comments.

The leopard in me {meow!}

Hello my lovelies, I hope you are all well. I am very excited that it is warm here in Latvia. Even with the occasional rain, there is something absolutely terrific about being able to wear shorts and skirts with bare legs.

I had a fun weekend and was able to finally take an outfit photo. It has been so long since I did an OOTD post due to the crappy weather in the winter but now I can finally share my outfits with you.

I really like how this outfit came out. The hat was a last minute decision but once I wore it and looked at the entire outfit I was very pleased with how I looked {sometimes I have lazy days and throw on the easiest things to find, oops}.

Ok, so a little bit of a confession here, that blouse is actually a high low blouse which you may have seen in my Primark haul video. {shhh} It was just way too long with this shorts and looked like I was wearing nothing but the blouse, so I decided to tuck it in. I like that the outfit is interesting yet comfortable because I had a lot to do that day. I absolutely adore this blouse, which I already knew 1st time I saw it at Primark.

Hat- Colloseum
Blouse - Primark
Shorts - {Don't remember}
Bag - Thrifted

Sunglasses - Dorothy Perkins
Jewelry - Ebay

First I wanted to take a few photos near the apple tree. Doesn't it look so beautiful?

And then we moved towards the sun and took some more photos at another tree and these ones came out so much better. I love them!

Best Sales to shop {Part 2}

It' getting warmer by the day, and we are beginning to take off the extra layers we were using to keep warm. Some people are even tanning already which gets a lot of us excited. Right now we are either doing the switch to spring/ summer closet or have already done it. But even if we have done it, we still all love to shop.

This series of posts is to help my readers shop on a budget. If you are saving the pennies, watch out for these posts as hey will definitely help.

Best sales to shop, daisystreet sale, shopping on a budget

This week, I chose to share the sale at Daisy Street. I absolutely love the colours of their website. It is professional yet fun which is something I like. Who said professional has to be boring?!

Their sale is great for getting summer shoes as they have some very nice colours and at great prizes. Who wants to get a pair of shoes for £35 if you can get it for £13?! So if you are looking for a new pair, I suggest you stop by.

Review: Dark and Lovely Corrective Leave-in

Today I thought I would start off by saying welcome to the new readers who are stopping by my blog for the first time and welcome back to my loyal readers who keep coming back. I am glad you find my blog interesting and I appreciate every one of you {blowing air kisses to all of you}.

Now time to move on to what this post is actually about. Seriously speaking, this review is long overdue because this is my holy grail product for hair care. I have been using it for as long as I can remember; probably the age of 13 or even earlier.

How can I have blogged for over a year and not reviewed this yet? No idea absolutely!

Now because I am half African, my hair is obviously not straight and it could be a hassle putting it all together into an acceptable hairstyle. This leave-in conditioner is my savior and I use it every single day.
Dark and Lovely Corrective Leave-in Conditioning Therapy, Dark and Lovely Corrective Leave-in, Dark & Lovely Leave-in Conditioner
Dark and Lovely Review, Dark and Lovely Corrective Leave-in Review, Leave in Conditioner review
Dark and lovely Corrective Leave-in product

The packaging is cute in my opinion. I love the colours which it consists of {it just all goes so well together }. These product comes in the big sized bottles which is the 500ml as I have as well as smaller bottles of 250ml. Yes, it is a big ass bottle and hard to be carried around when travelling but I need this product so much I have absolutely no problem in transferring the amount I need into a smaller bottle.

The product is pale pink almost white in colour. It helps to remove any tangles which may have formed in your hair, softens your hair and adds moisture which helps to remove dryness. It also helps to prevent split ends. In general it does everything a normal conditioner would. The best thing being that it doesn't have to be washed out which means it has more time to do its work.

This product can be used on afro hair or fully natural hair as well as relaxed hair. If you are not African and have straight hair, this product can also possibly be used by you. Just keep in mind that you need a lot less if not you will most likely end up weighing your hair down or having to wait ages until it dries.

Depending on where you live, this product can range anywhere from €5 to about €19 {including shipping if you have to order off ebay}. Now considering what it does and that it lasts a couple of months {time of use depends on your hair type and how much you use} I do not take it to be expensive as I cannot live without it {but then again that's just me}.

Quick Summary:
Likes: Moisturizes & softens your hair. Helps to remove tangles.
Dislikes: None
Verdict: Repurchasing every time it finishes and always keeping a backup bottle.
