Hola guapas. I hope you have all been having a fab holiday season. Applying eyeshadow is now becoming part of my everyday routine when I'm going out, and I love me a good drugstore palette. Ever since I found out about Makeup Revolution, I've wanted to try their palettes, lipsticks and basically everything they have because I have read so many reviews and everyone seems to love them. Nothing beats a good quality product at an affordable price.

I've been given the opportunity to try out the Makeup Revolution Salvation Palette Hard Day*, and I was super excited as soon as I got it and took a peek inside.

The product comes in a black concealed palette which opens up to show 18 gorgeous shades ranging from neutrals to deeper grunge colours like purple & dark green. The palette contains both matte and shimmery shades, which I think is absolutely fab because there are some evenings I am feeling sparkly and need a good shimmer eyeshadow. The palette has a mirror which is great because once you've got the palette with you, you don't need to worry about taking a mirror. It also has a sponge applicator brush for applying the eyeshadows.

The eyeshadows in this palette are very pigmented which is amazing as it costs just £6I used this palette to create my Christmas day look and it was absolutely stunning. There is no major fallout from the eyeshadows in this palette, and they last all day when applied on an eyeshadow base. My favourite shades from the palette are "I May As Well Just", "It's What We Do Best" and "Words Sound Just The Same".

I think this is a must have palette because you can use the matte beige and browns for everyday looks, and at the same time have a great selection to use for a night out.

Overall Summary
Price - £6.
Likes - Great price, very pigmented, very little fallout.
Dislikes - None atm.
Verdict - I would love to get their other palettes and lipsticks.

Bassbuds Bassboomz

Hello beauties. I hope you all had an amazing weekend. I spent mine doing some christmas shopping, cleaning and had dinner with friends. Now it's time to talk about a new gadget which I've got. During the summer, I was lucky enough to work with the lovely brand Bassbuds and received a gorgeous pair of headphones from their Fashion Collection. You should definitely have a look at my full review.

Now with Christmas just around the corner, I received another amazing item from them; the Bassboomz* in Red. I chose this specific colour because I just felt like it is so festive and would look great with either my phone, tablet or macbook.

Basbuds Bassboomz
Bassboomz
Bassboomz Red
Bassboomz Pocket speaker via bluetooth/ aux cable

The bassboomz come in a lovely matte black box with a transparent screen in which you can see your item. Inside the box, you'll also find a manual and 2 cables {usb cable for charging, and an aux cable for connecting the speaker to your selected device}. The bassboomz is a pocket speaker which works with basically any device that has bluetooth or a headphones / line-out jack. This speaker is rechargeable which means as soon as the battery is low, you just recharge and keep using it. Charging the speakers is easy: just plug it into your laptop using the usb cable and leave it to fully charge.

The bassboomz are available in 8 different colours. I've got the red one which is sort of a metallic red colour. It is so stunning and I just love it! The bassboomz can be used opened or closed. The difference in the sound is that when opened the bass of the music is louder.

I've used these speakers at home a few times. Mostly it is to listen to music; on a friday evening, when doing a huge load of dishes {it could get quite boring if you're alone at home at the time} or when doing my makeup & hair to go out. I find that it is easy to carry around, looks lovely and produces a crisp, clear and loud sounds from your device. The speakers don't have a volume bottom on them, so the sound is regulated through your device.

I think this is a lovely gift for tech and music lovers like myself. The BassBoomz retail for £49.95 but Bassbuds have got a 30% off discount at the moment, so be sure to use code "BBCHRISTMAS30" before you checkout.

Have you tried the bassboomz?

Review: NV Aubergine Eyeshadow

Hello beauties. It's almost Friday, and as always I am very excited for the weekend even though mine is probably going to be spent cleaning. But for now, let's talk a bit of makeup.

A while ago I told you I was working with NV Colour and I've reviewed 2 of their products already, both of which were fab: The NV Watermelon Chunky Lip Crayon* and the NV Black Cat Felt Tip Eyeliner Pen*. So be sure to check out those reviews if you like eyeliner pens and lip crayons. Today, I've got a review of one last product which I received from them and it is their NV Aubergine Eyeshadow*.

NV Aubergine Eyeshadow
NV Colour Eyeshadow in Aubergine
NV Colour Single Purple Eyeshadow
NV Colour Aubergine Eyeshadow, a lovely purple shade
NV Aubergine Eyeshadow Swatch

The NV Aubergine Eyeshadow is a Single eyeshadow pot. It comes in a small round container and has 2 levels. The first level is the eyeshadow itself, and the second level contains a small brush and a mirror. I've actually never seen a small eyeshadow like this contain a mirror and found this very interesting as well as handy for on the go application. The brush is the sponge applicator type which usually comes with small palettes, and my eyeshadows never apply as well with these so I'll probably not be using this.

The Aubergine shade is a grape purple shade with shimmer and can be blended out to a light purple shade or applied directly to your eyeshadow base for a more vibrant nighttime look. I've easily worn this shade during the day by applying it to my crease and then just blending it out a whole lot. Depending on how you use it, the product could be more pigmented or less, which is something I love because the colour is lovely for Autumn and Winter.

As for staying power, I always use an eyeshadow base when applying eyeshadow, and it lasted me all day. It didn't go into the crease or fade entirely like some I've tried do. When using this eyeshadow I didn't notice a lot of fall out which is great because purple cheeks might not be very pretty. So overall, I think it is a fab product and definitely worth a try.

Overall Summary
Price - £5.
Likes - Lovely shade, pigmented and compact.
Dislikes - None atm.
Verdict - I would love other colours.
Available - NV Colour Online.

Holiday Season Party Dresses {LBD}

Hello beauties. Following my previous post in this series about where to find Holiday Season Party Dresses, I'm back with another one. The first post was on sparkly dresses, and I thought I'd do one on Little Black Dresses. Personally I feel like you cannot have too many LBDs because they look classy and fit any occasion. Plus, they are the perfect go to outfit if you can't think of anything else you'd like to wear, or something doesn't fit last minute etc. LBDs are very easily styled up or down, which is perfect.

I've put together a few of the dresses I liked. They range from extremely simple to a bit more glam. These dresses are also perfect for any style: whether you're the girly girl, punk rock, boho or just like a bit of edge. You can accessorize your LBD to go with your sense of style.

The simplest dress in my list is from Wearall. It's the Jennifer Bodycon Bandage Dress which I think would look fab with a statement necklace. I've reviewed 2 of their items and both were fab: The Shawna Tartan Dungaree Dress and the Tia Spike Shoulder Jumper. If you'd like to make an order with them, use the code ANITA20 for 20% off {valid till 22nd Dec}.

Another dress which is quite simple but totally gorgeous is the Pattern-knit Dress from H&M. This dress has a bit of fine mesh on top with a flared skirt. Next we have the Structured Leopard Print Dress from Stradivarius. Once I saw this dress, I just had to include it because there are some leopard prints which are just scary and I would probably not wear them to a Christmas Party, but this one is different. It is a lovely black print dress for an evening out.

Next we have a bit of lace because lace is big this season, and I am loving the way it looks on black dresses. We have the Chenille Black Floral Lace Skater Dress which is a strapless skater dress with lace over it. It has got lace mesh on top and the back is just gorgeous. Be sure to check it out because I'm sure you'd love it. I've got my eye on this one. Lastly, we have the Chi Chi Phillipa Dress which is a lovely cream with black overlay cocktail dress. It's got a sheer mesh neckline and a skater bottom. The lace dresses are definitely my favourite ones in this list.

All the dresses are gorgeous and I think either of them is great to have in your closet, and they can all be styled up or down. Here's how I'd style up/down an LBD: Style up an LBD simply add a statement necklace that is to die for, a cute clutch and some killer heels. To style it down, wear a dainty necklace, a pair of chelsea boots and a fedora hat.

Review: Confume Argan Treatment Oil

Hello beauties. A while ago, I made my first order with Wishtrend. If you'd like to know more about the brand and what type of products you can find there, be sure to check out my Wishtrend Wishlist. I ordered some haircare products because my hair needs some more love. I decided to try out the Confume Argan Treatment Oil which is 100% pure argan oil. Prior to this, I've tried the Argan Dew Miraculous Argan Oil and I wanted to see how a cheaper brand would compare to this.

Confume Argan Treatment Oil from Wishtrend
Confume Argan Oil
Confume 100% pure argan oil

The product comes in a bottle with a screw on cap; no nozzle of any kind which I personally don't mind because I don't apply this oil to my scalp. I got 2 bottles; a 120ml bottle and a 25ml bottle. I am really happy about this because it means I have a little bottle of argan oil with me whenever I am travelling. And even if I run out of this specific oil, I can always just reuse the bottle and put another hair oil in it. The Confume Argan Treatment Oil has a sweet smell which I think is typical for argan oil. I personally love the sweet smell {it doesn't linger on your hair when applied if that bothers you}.

The oil feels silky smooth when applied on your hair. It locks in the moisture of your hair which is why it is better to apply it on slightly damp hair, and it tames frizz. It is also said to protect hair from heat and shorten the drying time, but I can't comment on this because I don't use heat on my hair and I don't apply the oil on very damp hair. Another benefit of the oil which is quite unnoticeable by the eyes is that it repairs dry damaged hair. It is hard to tell when your hair is already healthy, but I can definitely say my hair feels pretty good after applying the oil to it.

The oil leaves my hair smelling and feeling great, but I can't help but feel like the Argan Dew Miraculous Argan Oil is better. Nonetheless, I am satisfied with the product and feel it is a good dupe if you'd like a cheaper alternative. Let me know if there are any other brands of Argan oil you think I should try.

Overall Summary
Price - $18.45.
Likes - smells great and leaves my hair feel soft & silky.
Dislikes - None.
Verdict - I would repurchase.
Available - Wishtrend.

Christmas Gift Guide for Men

Hello beauties. Today I'm continuing my 2014 gift guide posts with some suggestions on what to give your man, brother, son, dad or a close friend for Christmas. I've included quite a few items to fit the sports guy, gaming lover, photographer boyfriend, tech wiz as well as some things that are just great for any guy. Some of the items are great for girls as well, but today I'm focusing on the men we love. For this post, I got a bit of help from hubs so I have a man's perspective.

Sports

Health is the most important thing in life, and something we cannot buy. But what we can do is motivate people to exercise and eat healthy. Lots of guys love sports, some more than others but still. Here in Barcelona, I think most men do 1 type of sport or another; whether it is going to the gym, out for a run or cycling. My brother for example would absolutely love to get a Weight Bench. The BM 210 Weight Benches and Stands lets you work on your back, legs and arm. It's a fab gift if you have where to put it in your apartment. A Bfold 7 folding city bike is another great gift. In a city like barcelona, lots of people use them for transportation, so you don't need to pay for the metro or tram. What is great about this specific bike is it is foldable which means even if you have a small elevator and live on the 5th floor, it is very easy to take it up to your apartment.

If your man already has a bike, why not get him some accessories for it. If he doesn't want the bike missing, he'll definitely need a good bike lock. Another thing hubs seems to find necessary is a pump, so he can tune up the tires whenever needed. I'd suggest trying out one like the ZEFAL Profil Max FP 30 Floor Pump, because this is one thing you don't want to be cheap with. We tried an inexpensive one and had to get rid of it same day we bought it as it just wasn't working. Lastly, one bike accessory I find necessary if you suffer from topographical cretinism like me is a Smartphone Bike Mount so you have the map in your phone as a guide when moving around.

Technology

Lots of guys love tech gadgets. A useful tech gift would be a pocket sized solar charger like the Powermonkey Discovery. It's portable and gives you the opportunity to recharge your phone on the go. If your man is into photography, a Canon lens 50mm f1.8 II is a great addition to his collection. This lens has a shallow depth of field and is great if you like the blurred background effect. It is popular for portrait photography and some bloggers like to use it for videos or product photography. Another great gadget for a photography lover is an external harddrive. I've got a 1tb toshiba external harddrive and I love it. So I'd recommend trying the Toshiba 2tb Disco Duro. An external harddrive is also something a tech wiz would love. And if he likes playing games, you can treat him to a new gamepad like the Nvidia Gamepad Shield Wireless Controller. I love that it is wireless as this keeps things a bit more tidy.

Suitable for every man

Now if your man doesn't like either of the mentioned items, you can always go with a great watch. I love the Fossil Townsman Blue Leather Strap Watch as it is great for everyday but also looks good for an outing. And lastly, we all want out men smelling the best, so you can treat him to a new perfume. I've smelt my fair share of mens perfumes and I really like the Hugo Boss Bottled and Espirit Simply You, to name a few.

I hope that gives you some ideas on possible gifts this holiday season for your man. I'm going to be checking out some of the items I've found while researching for this post, and will get something for hubs.

Don't forget to enter the Blogiversary giveaway which is open internationally.

Blogiversary Giveaway {Week 1}

Hola guapas! Que tal? I hope you all had a fab weekend. It's the first of December! Woohoo! Christmas is coming and I know everyone is excited. But for me, one thing that makes December even more amazing is that I started my blog in December 3 years ago. 3 years is quite a commitment and I honestly can say I wouldn't be where I am without all the amazing friends and readers I have. I've been given so many opportunities and I am extremely grateful. So thank you to all my readers, thank you to all the friends I've made and thank you to all the brands I have worked with.

15 Christmas Gift/ Stocking Filler Ideas For Her Under €15

Hello beauties. It's the end of November, and if you're unorganized like me in terms of Christmas Gifts, you're going to love reading the gift idea posts to come. The first one I've put together is a list of 15 Gift/ Stocking Filler Ideas For Her For Under 15. This list includes everything from makeup, skincare, haircare, jewellery and more.
15 Christmas Gift Ideas for her under €15

Skincare/ Bodycare

I've included The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Lotion because with the colder months, our skin tends to dry up a lot more than in the summer. And since Argan oil is good for your hair, I'd bet it's definitely good for your skin. I've tried quite a few bodyshop products and they all smell and feel amazing. But if the lady you want a gift for doesn't like sweet smells, you'd have to pick a different product. Another product I think we ladies love is a good smelling shower gel, and the Lush Sweetie Pie is just that. Lush products are natural, smell great and this shower jelly will last forever. I've tried it and I love it!

Because there are a lot of ladies who suffer from acne prone skin, I have included the Cutagen Gentlcare Refreshing Wash Gel in this gift guide. You can read my review of the gel wash and if you think it will help your friend, why not get it. If you'd like 30% off Cutagen products, please use the code NIA33BB {code valid all through December}. There is nothing better than a great bath with bath bombs. Nothing! So if the lady in question has a bath tub at home {I don't, and you can't use it in the shower. Bummer!} then you can throw in the Bomb Cosmetics Little Box of Love as a stocking filler.

Makeup and other beauty goodies

Whether it's a lady that applies a full face of makeup daily or one which prefers a more natural look, there are still a few things we all need in our collection. One of those is a good lipstick, and I've heard so many great things about the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks. You can read a review from my friend Miss Sunshine and Sparkle. I personally love the shade Hot Pepper as I think it's a great festive colour.

Another beauty item all girls need is nailpolish, because it makes your nails look pretty and give you a more polished look overall. The Essie nail polishes are a good pick for quality nail polishes. And even if you don't apply makeup daily, you still need makeup brushes, and the Real Techniques Core Collection is a fab choice for starters and experienced users {you can't have too many face brushes. If you wash your brushes regularly, you'd know what I mean}. Lastly, we need somewhere to keep all of our makeup when going out or travelling, and I am in love with this Cath Kidston Kingswood Rose Classic Box Makeup Case. If she likes mint or florals, she'd love it too.

Jewellery

Jewellery is a great gift or stocking filler. Of course there are probably some lucky ladies out there who will be getting a rock on their finger and replying "yes" this holiday season. But in this gift guide, I'm keeping it simple and affordable. And the Vanilla Shimmer Pink Agate Slice Necklace made of a slice of natural gemstone, the Imogen Statement Necklace or the super cute Kissing Giraffe Necklace are all great choices.

Haircare

Long healthy hair is beautiful and we all love it. I bet you've seen some people on the street even and wondered "gosh, her hair is gorgeous". So treat that female friend of yours to some much needed hair products/ tools. The Mane n Tail Herbal Gro Shampoo is great for hair growth and shiny hair. I've reviewed the Mane n Tail Deep Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner, so have a look before you decide. Another item I can no longer live without is my Tangle Teezer. This is literally the only brush/ comb I use for my hair as it detangles my hair and pulls out a lot less. I've got a full review of the tangle teezer if you'd like to have a look.

Other interesting gifts

Beauty products and jewellery aren't the only type of products you can present as gifts. You can also buy a great book depending on what genre she likes. If she likes romance novels, she'd probably appreciate the Girl Online by Zoe Sugg aka Zoella which recently came out and is available on amazon. You can also give her a gorgeous home decor item to store her jewellery like the Unicorn Jewellery Dish or the Bunny Ornament for Rings.

I hope this gift guide helps by giving you ideas.

Holiday Season Party Dresses {Sparkle}

Hello beauties, with the holiday season quickly coming our way, I'm sure we've all got a couple of parties to attend. To name a few, you've probably got your company's Christmas event, the Christmas party with your spouse's colleagues, Christmas Eve, New Years Eve and maybe some more in-between. This year I've decided to put together a series of posts showing you some gorgeous pieces for the party season and where to buy them. Personally, I'm still on the hunt for a new dress of Christmas Eve and one for New Years Eve. Some new shoes would be nice too {you can never have too many shoes}.

So here are my picks for the Sparkle Edition of The Holiday Season Party Dresses.

Chi-Chi Cameron Dress  |  Coloured Long Sleeve Wrap Front Sequin Covered Bodycon  |  Pink Sequin Print Bodycon Dress  |  Navy Sequin Zig Zag Split Maxi Dress  |  Metallic Sequin Bodycon Dress
Finding gorgeous full sequin dresses can be quite a challenge and after searching the web, I was able to come accross brands like Chi Chi Clothing, Ax Paris, Quiz Clothing and River Island for the best picks I'd wear myself for an evening out. The dresses range from £55 to £80 which I personally consider pricey for a dress you will not wear so often, but they are just so glam! I can already imagine how amazing I would look in either of these dresses.

With such sparkly dresses, I like to keep everything else rather simple. No statement necklaces or sparkly shoes. I would go for red accessories for the gold tone dresses {Chi-Chi Cameron Dress and the Metallic Sequin Bodycon}. Black accessories for the Coloured Long Sleeve Wrap Front Sequin Dress and the Navy Sequin Zig Zag Split Maxi Dress. And I'd opt for Navy accessories for the Pink Sequin Print Bodycon Dress, or just go with black as well.

I've got a few of these posts planned, but do let me know if there is a specific style of dresses/ playsuits/ jumpsuits you want me to put together.

Which of these dresses are your favourite?

Review: NV Felt Tip Eyeliner Pen

Hello beauties! I hope you all had a fab weekend. With it being Autumn, I've started using eyeliners a bit more often. And if you know me, you'll know I don't have the slightest idea how to use liquid eyeliner. Somehow, my eyelashes just get in the way and I end up with a big mess. So, my go to products for a cat eye are gel liners and eyeliner pens. This year, I've been opting more for eyeliner pens. I've reviewed the Essence 'Stays no matter what' waterproof eyeliner pen and the Catrice Eyeliner Pen Waterproof prior to this, so you can check them out.

In my previous post about another NV product, the NV Colour Watermelon Chunky Lip Crayon, I told you I have been given the opportunity to work with NV Colour. Another item I chose was the NV Black Cat Felt Tip Eyeliner Pen*.

The packaging of the NV Felt Tip Eyeliner Pen is just like every other eyeliner pen {it looks like a marker} but with matte packaging which I think if sort of the brands thing. I like it because it makes their products look more expensive. I got the product in a jet black shade called Black Cat, but it's also available in 2 other colours. The tip of the product is really sharp making it easy to draw the flick for a cat eye look. The eyeliner pen is very pigmented which I love, because you can achieve the black line without any fuss. I've had mine for about 4 weeks and the colour hasn't drained from it nor has the felt tip become soft.

The stay of this eyeliner pen is great. I've worn mine for a full day out and it was fine when I got back home late at night. Personally, I prefer waterproof eyeliners and mascaras as I'd rather not walk around with racoon eyes because I got in the rain or from all the heat and sweating in the Summer. The NV felt tip eyeliner pen isn't said to be waterproof, but I find it to be great quality in the sense that it doesn't smudge if it comes in contact with flowing water, but it will come off if you rub your eyes while it is wet.

Price wise, the NV felt tip eyeliner pen is more expensive than some of the other drugstore versions I've tried, but I think it's a great product and I'd recommend you give it a try.

Overall Summary
Price - £6.
Likes - pigmented, thin felt point, great staying power.
Dislikes - Pricey for a drugstore eyeliner pen, not waterproof.
Verdict - I would love the other colours.
Available - NV Colour Online.

Review: NYX Eyeshadow in Shimmer Golden

Hola guapas, how has your week been? I love gold eyeshadows. I think it's a flattering eyeshadow colour for my skintone and eye colour. Even though I'm more of a matte girl, I'd occasionally go for a glittery eyeshadow even for a day look and this is my favourite shimmer shade. I've had the NYX single eyeshadow in ES12 Golden for a while now and i'm really glad it's in my collection.

The packaging of this eyeshadow is pretty simple. It's a square box with a single colour eyeshadow in it and no additional section for mirror, brushes or what not. It is light and easy to carry around with you on a trip. Say if I was going for Christmas vacation, I'd take this eyeshadow and a dark brown shade for my crease, or even just this eyeshadow and use bronzer for the crease. It is a pressed powder shadow which is a copper golden colour.

I've used this shadow in 2 different ways. You can apply the eyeshadow all over your eyelid right after your eyeshadow base. This will give it a more pigmented vibrant colour. Or you can apply your eyeshadow base and then use an eyeshadow the same colour as your eyelid as an all over base, and then apply the golden NYX eyeshadow. With this you'll achieve a more subtle look. I didn't notice a lot of fall out with this eyeshadow, but whatever fallout there is can easily be brushed off the cheeks & will give a bit of a highlight so I'm not usually worried about fall out with such shades.

Overall, I think it is a great colour for warm skintone, and worth every penny I spent on it. It's probably going to be a go to shade for me this holiday season.

Overall Summary
Price - approx. €6.25. {I think I got it on discount in the Latvian NYX store though}
Likes - Gorgeous copper gold shade, pigmented.
Dislikes - A bit of fall out.
Verdict - Love it.
Available - NYX Cosmetics UK
