How to style a floral dress
Summer outfit idea

Hello beauties, I hope you have been doing well. Last weekend was really warm, basically summer. And I finally got to wear a dress with bare legs. It felt so great not having to wear any tights, I was practically jumping of joy.

The great weather and bare legs inspired me to style this Freya Dress* from Poppy Lux with simple black flats and glasses. Topping off the outfit with a huge top bun.

This freya dress was the perfect pick for the weather because it has floral designs on it, which is a really huge trend for the summer time. I've wanted a floral dress for a while and having one which is a skater dress is just the best. The pink and purple floral design brightens the dress for a lovely summer look. The dress is made of soft polyester fabric which is very light and great for the hot season. The cut and sewing pattern of the dress is great and of good quality.

I decided to style this dress with a navy belt and keep the accessories gold and black. I think the dress already has a lot going with the floral details so I left all the attention to it. The dress is also lined on the inside making it wearable in the colder weather. I would probably wear this dress with black tights during Spring or Autumn. The colours are just so great for all 3 seasons, which means this dress can be worn in so many different ways.

Review: MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil in Snow White

Hello beauties. I hope you all had a great weekend and Monday wasn't as bad as it sometimes is. My pup has been a bit restless the last week and she has been keeping me up a lot, so I end up waking up really tired and you can always tell from my eyes. One product I found has helped me in making my eyes look bigger and making me look more awake is white eyeliner pencil.

A while ago, a really good friend sent me this in a package probably knowing how much I'd love it. It is such a great product and I have no idea why I never bought one of these myself.

The MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil is a perfect name for this product because the colour is very intense. I have this product in the shade Snow White. I'm sure we have all had it happen that you buy an eyeliner pencil or brow pencil thinking it would look great but then it just doesn't. This product is nothing like that. It is very opaque and applies smoothly giving you a nice white colour.

I usually apply this white eyeliner in my waterline and inner corners of my eyes. This brightens your eyes, makes them look bigger and more awake which is great for all you night owls. And yes, I am one of those too which makes this product very handy. And at £1, I think this is totally worth the purchase. I am really looking forward to trying the other shades they have or the Intense Glitter Eyeliner pencils.

If you are ordering online and shipping the product internationally, just order a few more items like the eyebrow palette and lipsticks while ordering this, and you wouldn't even notice you paid for shipping.

Overall Summary
Price -  £1.
Likes - affordable, very opaque.
Dislikes - none.
Verdict - Recommended. Looking forward to trying other shades.
Available - Boots, MUA Online Store.

Mint topped with a hat

How to casually style disco pants, Spring outfit in disco pants
Disco pants - Glamorous   |   Jumper - Seppala   |   Hat - Colloseum   |   Sneakers - Sports shop in Finland {No idea which}   | Bracelets - Lindex & Ebay  |   Rings - Vanilla Shimmer
Styling disco pants with a hat
Handmade silver plated rings from Vanilla Shimmer

Hello beauties. Last weekend I was finally able to take pictures for an ootd post. With the constant weather changes and personal changes, I've just not really been up for taking outfit pictures. But I was feeling really happy on the weekend so I went for one of my constant go to items - Disco pants

I still remember when the disco pants craze started and I really wanted a pair but didn't want to spend as much as some people were spending. Eventually I did get a pair and fell in love with it. They are my go to items when it's warmer but not warm enough for skirts and dresses because they are very comfortable but at the same a bit more dressy than jeans.

Even though you can style disco pants for a night out with a lovely top and heels, I wasn't doing anything special on the weekend so I went casual. I styled these black disco pants with a mint dip hem jumper, a black hat and then decided to switch the colours a bit and went for pink sneakers. My jewellery for this outfit consisted of a mint mixed set from Lindex, a rainbow bracelet which I got on ebay and silver plated handmade rings from Vanilla Shimmer.

Overall, I quite liked how the outfit came out even though my hair became really messy after a while in the wind.

What do you think about my outfit? How would you style disco pants?

Review: Essence 24h 'Stays no matter what' waterproof eyeliner pen

Hello beauties! I hope you all had a great weekend with some well deserved you time and maybe even a Sunday pamper session. Today, I'd like to tell you my opinion of the Essence 24h 'Stays no matter what' waterproof eyeliner pen. Generally, I'm really bad at applying eyeliner so I usually stick to gel liners which I find much easier to apply. So when I saw the Essence eyeliner pen, I was eager to give it a try as I think it's a great idea for a product which you can use both at home and on the go. This is the first eyeliner pen I purchased, and I ended up disappointed.

Essence 24h stays no matter what waterproof eyeliner pen

Essence stays no matter what waterproof eyeliner pen Review

Packaging wise, it looks like pretty much any eyeliner pen I've seen. Kind of like a black marker but specifically for your eyes. The tip of the marker is quite sharp when it is new meaning you can make really thin lines and a nice flick. After a couple of uses, the tip of the marker becomes soft and makes it rather hard to make a proper flick. If you don't usually create a flick, then this shouldn't bother you. What I did was just hold the pen horizontally and apply the eyeliner using the body of the marker rather than the very tip.

I got this eyeliner pen in the colour 01 midnight black which is the only colour available for this specific item. It isn't the darkest black and most pigmented eyeliner you can find, but it was fine at first; I just used to apply two coats of it to achieve a darker colour. After a while, it became more grey than black and sometimes even with multiple layers, I could still not get the black I was trying to achieve. The application process was quite smooth for me and the eyeliner didn't tug on my eye area.

Now talking about the stay of the eyeliner, Essence claims it is waterproof and stays 24hrs. It so doesn't! If you rub the applied line 3 times, you will be left with a faint line that can barely be seen. And if the product comes in contact with water, it cleans off. Price wise, the products is really affordable and will cost you less than 2.50 EUR. But is that worth the money? Probably not. I'd rather pay a bit more and get something that is of better quality.

So in general, I didn't like this product and would not recommend it. Essence has a lot of great products, but this one just turned out to not be one of them.

Overall Summary
Price -  £2.50.
Likes - price.
Dislikes - not very pigmented, doesn't stay on long, not waterproof.
Verdict - Not recommended.
Available - Drugstores.

Review: Argan Dew Replenishing Hair Mask & Miraculous Argan Oil

Argan Dew Samples
Argan Dew Replenishing Hair Mask and Miraculous Argan Oil

Hello beauties, I'd like to wish you a warm sunny day as it is quite gloomy here. To make the day better, it's time to talk hair. If you already follow my posts, you'll know I love my hair and I'm always looking for products that will keep it healthy, shiny and help it grow.

A while back I received a package with some samples of Argan Dew products to try. I received the Replenishing Hair Mask* and the Miraculous Argan Oil*. Argan Dew is a relatively new brand to the market but they have a great range of products. Their products are made of pure Moroccan Argan Oil, are not tested on animals and do not contain SLS/SELS, parabens or alcohol which makes them amazing!

Firstly, I'd like to say the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. As someone who loves colours, I was instantly drawn to it. I tried both products on my hair the past 2 weeks and I am really impressed.

Argan Dew Replenishing Hair Mask

Argan Dew Replenishing Hair Mask
The sample product comes in a 10ml sachet which was just enough to cover my hair while it was wet.  I could probably have used more as I have quite a lot of hair but I decided to just use 1 sachet per week. As my hair is really dry, I didn't skip conditioning after shampooing. Instead, I applied the mask after washing out my conditioner and left it on for about 10-15 minutes while taking a bath. Afterwards, I washed it off and let my hair air dry as always. My hair felt really soft and smelled amazing. This hair mask is available in a 250ml jar for $44.00 on the Argan Dew website.

Argan Dew Miraculous Argan Oil

Argan Dew Miraculous Argan Oil
This sample comes in a 3.5ml sachet. Depending on your hair you might want to split this for a couple of uses and not just pour it all on your hair. For me, I always use a fair amount of oil on my hair as it just sucks it all in and helps lock in the moisture. So after allowing my hair dry a little bit, I squeezed half the sachet into my hand and applied it on my ends. Then I used the other half and left just a bit for the morning when I'm styling my hair. The Miraculous Hair Oil smells amazing, locks in moisture, helps with damaged and dry hair and tames frizz. It leaves your hair silky smooth and very light. The Argan Oil is available on the Argan Dew website in a 100ml bottle and costs $39.

So to summarize my thoughts on these products, I think they are both amazing. Both products have a nice sweet scent. Although I'd say the Miraculous Argan Oil has more of a scent than the Hair Replenishing Mask. Not to worry, this smell doesn't stay on your hair for long. By the time your hair is dry, it's all gone. Personally, I wouldn't mind if it did as it is just so pleasant. After using both products together for 2 weeks, I feel my hair is much nicer and I really look forward to using these products in the coming weeks.

If you'd like to try out these products, feel free to stop by their website and request a sample. All you'll have to do is pay the shipping charges. You will not be sorry.

Have you tried their products? What did you think? If you haven't, will you be requesting samples?

Travel: Such a beautiful horizon, Barcelona!

Hello beauties. In April, I visited Barcelona and it was wonderful, so I thought I would share some pictures from my trip. If you've already visited Barcelona, this will be to refresh your memory, and if you haven't I hope you get inspired to visit.

The journey to Barcelona was quite stressful as I wasn't taking a straight flight from Riga due to the price, rather I went through Vilnus. I took the bus to Vilnus which took approximately 4 hours and then took the plane from Vilnus to Barcelona. Being in Vilnus for the first time and having 2 hours between the arrival of the bus and the flight, I was stressing over finding the minibus from the bus station to the airport as well not missing my flight for whatever reason. In the end I was able to get to the plane on time and finally arrived in Barcelona at midnight. Coming back was quite easy as I already knew where what was so I actually ended up with some extra time before the bus.

The weather wasn't great. The weeks before that, it was so warm everyone was already sunbathing. But when I arrived it was quite windy and cold which made me sorry I took mostly Summer clothes. My first day in Barcelona involved mainly drinks with friends. After that, we had the Easter holidays which we spent strolling on the beach and visiting tourist sites such as Sagrada Familia, the National Art Museum of Catalonya and the Magic fountain. I was quite sad I wasn't able to see the Magic fountain in the dark when it lights up but we were so beat when we arrived at 6pm to the fountain. We also visited the Picasso Museum where we got to see his works and read all about his life.

Another place we visited which I loved was the Aquarium. I'm pisces myself so I guess we just have some sort of bond. There were so many lovely fishes, seahorses and other sea creatures. And there were sharks! I don't think I've ever been so close to sharks! I could seriously see their teeth so upclose and personal, which makes you think of all the horror movies you've watched.

Oh and I ate so much paella one night I couldn't move afterwards. So, that's some info on my trip. It really was so amazing and I had the best time. Iff you haven't been, make sure you book a trip.

Enjoy the pictures; there are quite a few.
